About This Product

■Features

The VX wheel is a high-efficiency surface grinding wheel with excellent sharpness that allows for easier dressing with a single stone than conventional products. It can easily grind difficult-to-cut materials, and high-quality grinding results can be obtained in both dry and wet grinding, making it especially effective for grinding mold materials. It is also extremely economical, consuming 30% less power than standard WA abrasives for stainless steel polishing, and 10% less than conventional products. Furthermore, the grinding ratio is 50 times higher than that of WA abrasive grains. Compatible steel material

■Effective in machining hardened steel materials with HRc45 or higher.

・Tool steel (SKH, SKD, SK, etc.) ・Alloy steel (SCM, SNCM, etc.) ・Bearing steel (SUJ, etc.)

■Precautions for use

・Using peripheral speed: max40m/sec (2,400m/min) ・Recommended peripheral speed: 26~30m/sec (1,600~1,800m/min) ・Dress: Single stone 2μ/pass×N times

■Typical uses

・Grinding of difficult-to-cut materials ・Grinding of mold material

・Workpiece: SKD-11 HRc65, corner 200 x 100 x 50 ・Grinding conditions: a. Dry, b. Feed speed 16 m/min, c. Wheel peripheral speed 30 m/sec, d. Depth of cut 15 μm/pass ・Grinding machine: Nagase Integrex, surface grinding machine SGU-52N2
