About This Product
■Features
MG (Magnesia) The main ingredients of the whetstone are magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride, and the abrasive grains are bonded together through chemical curing at room temperature, so large-sized whetstones can be manufactured easily.Generally, they are manufactured using the cast molding method. The abrasive grains are well dispersed, resulting in a whetstone with a uniform structure. The surface used on the whetstone is gradually softened by the grinding fluid, and as it constantly produces sharp abrasive grains, it does not get clogged or crushed, resulting in the best sharpness.
In addition, there will be no burning even during heavy grinding.During dry grinding, the bond gradually undergoes thermal decomposition and wears away, exposing the cutting edge of the abrasive grains to maintain sharpness, while at the same time preventing grinding burns due to the heat absorption that accompanies thermal decomposition, heavy grinding is possible despite dry grinding.
Typical uses
■Since it cuts well and generates little heat, it first began to be used for sharpening knives, and has demonstrated its performance in the following fields.
・Grinding of various knives, knives, scissors, sickles, circular saws, etc.
- Polishing the blades of razors, scalpels, injection needles, etc.
・Flat and blade grinding of long mechanical knives, planer blades, and slitters.
- Polishing of stone (marble) and ceramics.
- For semiconductor magnetic head polishing and flat lapping of various plates.
- For simultaneous grinding of both sides of bearing cases and work tools.
・For simultaneous grinding of both end faces of various coil springs and plate springs.
■Precautions for use
・Storage: Avoid places with high humidity, direct sunlight, and fire. Please thoroughly inspect whetstones that have been manufactured for more than 6 months to 1 year before use.
・Base metal: Do not heat-bond it with sulfur, etc., and attach it with epoxy bond. For large grindstones, it is safe to use a recessed mounting nut as much as possible.
- Rust prevention: Since the bond contains magnesium chloride, this grindstone is prone to rust. Please thoroughly clean both the grinder and the object to be ground after work, and be careful to remove grinding debris.
