About This Product

■Features

The SSX whetstone, which uses special ceramic abrasive grains, is a whetstone for tools, molds, and precision grinding that has a remarkable self-sharpening effect in which new abrasive grains constantly appear compared to conventional alumina-based abrasive grains. Because the cutting edge repeats microscopic fractures, high grinding performance can be maintained for a long time (a grinding ratio of 2 to 3 times that of a regular grindstone can be achieved). In addition, dressing processing can be performed in the same way as conventional grindstones, so there is no need for special dressing equipment, and maintenance is easy. Bond: Special vitrified bond and resin bond maximize the characteristics of special ceramic abrasive grains. Abrasive grain mixture ratio: Depending on the usage conditions, you can select 3SSX (mixed with 30% ceramic abrasive grains), 5SSX (mixed with 50% ceramic abrasive grains), etc. Self-sharpening action: Clogging and grinding burn are less likely to occur, and high grinding performance is maintained for a long time. Dressing: No special equipment is required and maintenance is easy.

・Gear/V-shaped groove machining/Excellent shape retention of molded micro radii. ・Cool cutting (dry grinding) of tools, cutters, multi-ribs, etc./Less grinding burn and less processed damaged layer.

■Applicable steel material

- Particularly effective in machining high hardness (HRC50 or higher) steel materials such as SKS, SKH, SKD, and SCM. ・Roll shaft (high speed, semi high speed) ・Automotive parts/Electrical parts (SCM materials) ・Bearing (SUJ-2 material) ・Mold (SKD-11 material) ・Tools (SKH material), etc.
