About This Product

■Features

・When Crestone is applied, it penetrates into the base material and forms a protective layer with excellent oil and water repellency, suppressing the penetration of dirt, making it difficult to get dirty, and even if it gets dirty, it can be removed relatively easily, reducing the burden of maintenance. - Significantly lowers the water absorption rate of stone, suppresses the absorption of moisture and impurities from the back side, and suppresses cracking, deterioration, and weathering due to freezing. ・Suppresses weathering, deterioration, and efflorescence of stone and protects it for a long time. (Eflo that has already appeared cannot be completely stopped.)

■Applications

- Protection and stain control of porous stones such as limestone, sandstone, Oya stone, Towada stone, Isahaya stone, Ryukyu limestone, bricks, concrete, blocks, cement secondary products, terracotta tiles and other highly water-absorbing tiles. ・Suppresses the absorption of moisture and dirt from the surface of Eflo stone and from the back side. Water and oil repellent effects prevent dirt from entering the stone surface.

■Fouling resistance test

As shown in Figure 1, soy sauce, urine, Japanese sake, coffee, and salad oil were dropped onto limestone with and without Crestone coating, and after 72 hours, they were washed with water. We verified that no stains remained on the surface of limestone coated with Crestone. *After applying Creston twice, we used a product that was cured and dried at room temperature (20℃) for 72 hours.

■Suction suppression test

Limestone coated with Crestone (right) and uncoated limestone (left) were dipped in red ink as shown in the figure below to verify the wicking suppression effect. *After applying Creston twice, we used a product that was cured and dried at room temperature (20℃) for 72 hours. The surface of the uncoated stone turned red after about 5 hours from the start of the wicking test, but when looking at the cross section of the stone coated with Crestone, even after 1,500 hours of the wicking test, the red ink stopped flowing about halfway through the wicking test, confirming its wicking-suppressing effect.

■Effro suppression effect

Limestone coated with Crestone (right) and without Crestone coated (left) were immersed in a 5% sodium sulfate aqueous solution as shown in the figure on the right to verify the eflore suppression effect. *After applying Creston twice, we used a product that was cured and dried at room temperature (20℃) for 72 hours.
