About This Product

■What is the difference between heat shielding material and insulation material?

The heat shield material is only 4 to 8 mm thick, but the aluminum sheet on the surface reflects hot radiant heat from the outside. In the summer, it keeps you comfortable without letting heat into your room. It is characterized by its ability to reflect heat, be thin, light, and low cost. Insulation doesn't block heat, it slows down the transfer of heat. The reason why it's hot indoors in the summer even with insulation is because heat enters the room slowly over time and retains heat through the heat storage effect. It is characterized by its ability to store and retain heat, making it difficult for heat to transfer, and being thick. Astrofoil, made from the latest technology and the best materials, blocks radiant heat, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is a construction material that is easy on the household budget and strongly supports the construction and renovation of comfortable homes.

■What is “Astrofoil”, a new-age heat shielding material?

Through research on electromagnetic waves received by spacesuits and rockets, a heat shielding theory using ``aluminum and air layers'' was established, and is now used in aircraft. Based on this theory, ``astrofoil'' was developed for use in buildings. Wisdom and technology to know about "heat". Heat moves from higher temperature to lower temperature, and there are three types of movement: convection, conduction, and radiation. Convection: Heat transfer caused by the movement of gases and liquids *Ratio of vertical heat transfer in a building: 20% Conduction: Heat transfer caused by bringing objects of different temperatures into contact *Ratio of vertical heat transfer in a building: 10% Radiation: (Radiation) Heat transfer caused by the transfer of electromagnetic energy between distant objects *Ratio of vertical heat transfer in a building: 70%

■Structure based on heat shield theory

Astrofoil aluminum heat shielding material has a 5- or 7-layer structure with 99% pure aluminum foil pasted on both sides of a polyethylene resin air cap. The aluminum foil on both sides reflects 97% of the radiant heat inside and outside, and the air layer in the air cap plays a role in suppressing heat conduction. By providing resistance to radiation and conduction, it is possible to block heat more effectively.

■Flexible response possible

Astrofoil is thin, lightweight, and durable, and can be used anywhere and on any part of the body.
