About This Product

■Summary

This is copper thermite welding equipment that firmly joins bond wires to railway rails. Copper thermite welding is a welding method that applies a thermochemical reaction (thermite reaction) that burns copper oxide and aluminum powder in a crucible and uses the resulting heat. Since the bond and rail are connected using molten copper, strong adhesion is achieved. In the case of electric railways, the return current that passes through the vehicle's motor and the signal current that is used to detect trains through the track circuit flow through the rails. Since the gaps between each rail make it difficult for current to flow, rail bonds are installed to electrically connect adjacent rails. The FEPS method uses a copper thermite reaction to easily weld rail bonds to rails using a cartridge.
