About This Product

Porous piezoelectric materials have a composite structure with pores uniformly distributed within the ceramic. It is easier to deform due to external force than bulk type PZT, and has particularly excellent wave reception sensitivity. Product features

■Suitable for high frequency applications

Porous piezoelectric materials with uniformly distributed fine pores can be produced. This makes it possible to use it for applications in the MHz band, which were difficult to do in the past.

■Electrical characteristics can be controlled

Various properties such as piezoelectric constant and acoustic impedance can be controlled by changing the porosity.

■Low acoustic impedance

It has low acoustic impedance and good compatibility with water (living tissue) and air, making it possible to create an efficient water/airborne acoustic transducer.

■Low mechanical Q value

Due to its low mechanical Q value, it has a wide band, and short pulses are possible, which improves distance resolution.
