About This Product

The RG-AP180 series is a next-generation information outlet embedded wireless access point developed for the Japanese market. Equipped with the industry's first IEEE802.11ax (Wi-Fi6), it provides a comfortable wireless environment. 11ax provides access rates of 574Mbps on 2.4GHz and 1.2Gbps on 5GHz.

Dual radio technology also eliminates bottlenecks in the wireless environment. The discovery of a fatal vulnerability in WPA2 had a major impact on the entire information and communications industry. The RG-AP180 is equipped with WPA3 Personal, the industry's first next-generation encrypted communication method, to improve wireless communication security.

It can be installed safely and conveniently by storing it in a JIS standard information outlet. AC100V power supply (JA) and PoE (JP) are available for power reception on the main unit, which can be applied flexibly according to the customer's power supply environment.

■Realizes stable communication in high-density and congested environmentsEquipped with new technology that not only improves peak rates, but also improves average throughput for stable communication in crowded environments.

■OFDMAScheduling technology allows multiple users to send and receive packets simultaneously through an AP, improving the efficiency of network transfers. In high-density environments, the average rate per user is comparable to up to 4x that of 11ac.

■BSS coloringIdentifies the BSS of different WLANs in the network with different coloring (BSS colors) and maintains different packet reception and transmission thresholds. This technology can implement channel multiplexing in high-density scenarios, significantly reducing the impact of co-channel interference in the network.

■Advanced power saving with advanced technologyAdopts advanced energy-saving features such as single-antenna standby, automatic power-saving transmission technology such as dynamic energy-saving MIMO, and per-packet power control technology. Coupled with a high-performance power supply design, it delivers high-speed wireless access while reducing power consumption.
