About This Product

Ruijie Newton 18000-X Switch Series (RG-N18000-X) is the next generation of high-performance core switches designed for cloud networks. The zero backplane design on the 100T switching platform makes it the best switch in its class. The RG-N18000-X switch series provides efficient and stable switching services, ensuring smooth network upgrades for the next 10 years. The RG-N18000-X series is a world-class core switch that utilizes advanced hardware architecture design to achieve the highest level of specifications. CLOS orthogonal switching architecture is adopted, and the switching capacity per chassis is up to 461T. Transfer speeds are up to 5,400Mbps per slot. A single chassis supports 576 full line rate 100GE ports, 576 full line rate 40GE ports, and 2,304 full line rate 10GE ports.

■Advanced zero backplane design

The RG-N18000-X series is the first to use a zero backplane design in a switch with a switching capacity of 100Tbps. Achieved direct connection between line cards and fabric engines without backplane connection. Transmission loss is minimized by directing data traffic across multiple modules directly to the fabric engine. This also improves the internal transmission efficiency of service data traffic, maximizing switch performance and switching capacity. Therefore, there is no need to replace the chassis for future upgrades, and it can last for more than 10 years in data center operations.
