About This Product

Ansys LS-DYNA is a tool dedicated to nonlinear time history response analysis, including falls and collisions. Unlike finite element method analysis tools that use implicit solvers, it uses an explicit solver that does not require convergence calculations, making it possible to handle highly nonlinear problems such as falls and collisions.

■Features

-Uses the LS-DYNA solver, which has a proven track record in industries such as automobiles, aerospace, and shipbuilding. ・A wide range of analyzes can be performed, including plate forming, metal processing, drop analysis, impact/collision, etc. - It is integrated into the operating environment of Ansys Workbench, which has a reputation for ease of use, and allows you to create meshes, set boundary conditions, and display analysis results on Workbench. - Workbench is equipped with a "drop test wizard" that allows you to perform drop analysis with simple operations. ・Coupled analysis of Ansys (implicit method) and LS-DYNA (explicit method) is possible.

■Pre-post function

You can use the pre-post functionality of Ansys Workbench. Workbench's defiture feature removes small features to prevent the occurrence of small elements. In the explicit method, the time step is determined by the smallest element, so eliminating small elements can reduce analysis time.
