About This Product

■Features

・Edgewise toroidal coil ・A rectangular edgewise winding is applied to a toroidal-shaped low-loss powder core. ・Effective for downsizing, increasing efficiency, improving heat dissipation, and reducing EMI. ・Even though it is a toroidal type, the effective current can be up to about 100A. ・It is the result of elemental technologies such as a newly developed edgewise winding machine and precision cutting technology for powdered iron cores. ・Customization is possible. We perform optimal design according to required characteristics.

・Applications: Buck choppers, boost choppers, AC reactors, DC reactors, PFC coils, etc. ・Current value: 10-100A ・Recommended carrier frequency: 10-100kHz

■Advantages of edgewise coils

・When winding wires with the same cross-sectional area, the space can be reduced compared to multi-layer winding of round wires → Contributing to smaller and lighter products ・Since the current surface area can be increased, the skin effect caused by high frequencies can be reduced → Advantageous for large currents and high frequencies ・Single-layer winding reduces proximity effect and reduces conductivity deterioration due to electrostatic fields
