About This Product

Converting film is a film that is made by laminating materials with different properties to achieve the desired performance. Kojin provides nylon films and PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) films using our unique "tubular method simultaneous biaxial stretching technology." It has the excellent characteristics of shrinking uniformly in both length and width, with little difference in physical properties even at the edges of the film, and being resistant to bag breakage and pinholes. Boblet, a new film that contributes to reducing environmental impact achieved by the PBT resin x tubular method, is the world's first biaxially stretched PBT film that applies our core technology, "simultaneous tubular biaxial stretching method."

■Features

・Pinhole resistance In addition to having the same toughness as ONY (puncture resistance, impact resistance, and bending resistance), it also has the same wear resistance as PET. ・Processing suitability PBT is a polyester resin similar to PET, and it does not have the same hygroscopicity as ONY and has good processing suitability. ・Reducing environmental impact The above features contribute to reducing environmental impact by reducing the volume of packaging materials and improving yield during processing and filling.

■Applications

・Microwavable pouch In recent years, retort food has become increasingly microwave-friendly due to the ease of cooking and the ability to reduce CO2 emissions by shortening heating time. However, heating pouches in the microwave has the potential to cause the pouch to break during heating, depending on the ingredients and shape of the contents or the heating conditions. Boblet helps solve that problem. ・Tray top material Since Boblet combines the pinhole resistance of ONY and PET, it is possible to reduce the volume of plastic by replacing the PET//ONY structure with a single layer of Boblet. In particular, Boblet's superiority over other base materials becomes noticeable under low temperature and freezing conditions, so it is increasingly being used in frozen foods.

■Processing suitability

PBT is a polyester resin similar to PET, and is less susceptible to moisture absorption than ONY. As a result, there is no moisture-absorbing curling or deterioration of slipperiness under high humidity that occurs when using ONY base material, and since it also has pitch stability, it can be expected to improve yields during printing, bag making, and filling. , which also contributes to reducing the amount of plastic used.
