About This Product

The rTM system establishes a new product code because the improvements introduced regarding the ZigBee wireless communication protocol are not compatible with the previous series. The configuration of the CAREL rTM system is as follows

■Battery-powered sensor: two versions for two specific demands

・Temperature sensor installed inside the showcase, version SE BP (Built-in Probe); ・Sensor with 2 external NTC probes and 2 digital input terminals for showcases and cold rooms, version SE EP (External Probe) Sensor voltage is 12 to 24 Vac. For showcases and cold rooms, sensor with 2 external NTC probes and 2 digital inputs, version EP1/Router SE (External Probe). This device is integrated with router function.

■Access point

With a wireless receiver that captures data from various sensors on the ZigBee™ network, data is made available to supervisors via Modbus® RTU. Up to 30 sensors (60 if using one or more routers) can be directly associated with each access point. This allows the supervisor (PlantVisorPRO or PlantWatchPRO) to read all variables of the rTM SE system.

■Router

Use when the distance between the sensor and router is more than 30m, or when there are more than 30 sensors on the network. You can have up to 60 routers on your wireless network, 48 of which are visible to the supervisor. The access point automatically assigns serial addresses from 200 to 247 in order of relevance.

■Router sensor EP1 features

A new router has been added to the lineup that has the same functionality as the EP SE sensor (2 NTC, 2 programmable digital inputs) and has a mains power supply of 12-14Vac. This device is ideal for wireless communication and wireless monitoring of float discharge pressure functions, which was only possible for a short time with battery-powered versions. This device can be used in any application where mains power is available or for monitoring general purpose digital inputs.
