About This Product

This roller uses lightweight and wear-resistant thermoplastic HDPE pipe (high-density polyethylene pipe) to reduce the weight of the rotating part of the roller, and to keep the coefficient of rotational friction low, making the roller rotate easily. This is a "new generation Eco roller" that is suitable for the 21st century, and was developed with the aim of reducing the power required to start the belt conveyor, as well as reducing power consumption during operation. HDPE rollers are resistant to abrasion/corrosion, hard to attract dust/sludge, absorb sound and have low rotational noise, are light in weight and easy to replace, and are designed to handle high speeds, making them truly energy-saving. /Environment/Safety Laura.

■An example of an experiment in which power consumption during operation was reduced by approximately 13% and the required power at startup was reduced.

In 2009, Melco (South Africa) conducted an empty load test on a 1,200W, 360m long conveyor by replacing the existing steel rollers with HDPE rollers, and obtained the following results. The power consumption during operation was reduced by 7kW/h, and the power required for starting was approximately 14% lower. This means that power consumption can be reduced by about 13% when operating with actual loads, and the motor can be lowered by one rank, proving that it contributes to cost reduction.

■“TOP” & “SUPREME”, two types, their characteristics and internal structure

Ralmeca's HDPE rollers come in two types: TOP rollers (Italian headquarters) and SUPREME (Melco). Even thick HDPE pipes (pipe thickness 9 to 12 mm) can bend under conditions such as the load of conveyed objects, heat, and their own weight, which will affect the life of the roller, so a thin iron pipe with a thickness of 1.5 to 2 mm is enclosed. It is reinforced. (Note: TOP does not have thin iron pipe reinforcement for roller lengths up to 600mm) A non-contact labyrinth seal (labyrinth structure seal) is used to make rotation easier, but in addition to this "contactless" type, the TOP also has the same seal structure as the PSV roller, which has excellent dustproof/waterproof properties.
