About This Product

■Features

The APO-LANTHAR 50mm F2 Aspherical is a newly designed lens based on the Sony E-mount lens, which was introduced to the market as Voigtlander's highest-performance standard lens, and is compatible with full-frame (Nikon FX format) mirrorless cameras that use the Nikon Z mount. This is a high performance standard lens. The apochromatic design brings the axial chromatic aberration of RGB, which makes up the three primary colors of light, as close to zero as possible, achieving performance that completely changes the value of standard lenses. It has a lean style and has high maneuverability and good handling.

■Designed exclusively for Nikon Z mount

Implements an optical system optimized for image sensors of mirrorless cameras that use Nikon Z mount. This lens has a full-size image circle and can be used with both full-size (Nikon FX format) mirrorless cameras and APS-C size (Nikon DX format) mirrorless cameras.

■Apochromat design

In addition to thoroughly eliminating various aberrations including axial chromatic aberration, we also pursue the ultimate performance in terms of resolution and contrast reproducibility.

■Optical glass and mechanical parts that lead to high performance

The lens has 10 elements in 8 groups, including 5 anomalous partial dispersion glasses, 2 double-sided aspherical lenses, and is also equipped with a floating mechanism.

■Information communication with the body using electronic contacts

The lens mount is equipped with electronic contacts to enable electrical communication between the lens and the body. The combination of a telecommunications compatible body and the latest firmware*1 provides Exif information, in-body image stabilization (3 axes), and 3 types of focusing support functions (focusing by changing focus point frame color, focusing by peaking) , focusing using the magnification button).

■12 apertures that allow you to enjoy bokeh expressions

The 12-blade aperture has a special shape that is circular not only at open F2, but also at F2.8 and F16. It is possible to draw images that take advantage of the "bokeh" of point light sources.

■Manual focus for reliable focus operation

The use of an all-metal helicoid unit that has been machined and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces an appropriate amount of torque provides focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for delicate focus adjustments.
