About This Product

■Features

The NOKTON 40mm F1.2 Aspherical Z mount is a large aperture lens compatible with full-frame (Nikon FX format) mirrorless cameras that uses the Nikon Z mount. Two of the eight elements in six groups are double-sided aspherical lenses. Despite its compact size, it achieves an amazingly large aperture of F1.2 as a full-size 40mm lens. You can enjoy optical performance that can be used with confidence even from the widest aperture, and smooth and large bokeh.

■Designed exclusively for Nikon Z mount

Implements an optical system optimized for image sensors of mirrorless cameras that use Nikon Z mount. This lens has a full-size image circle and can be used with both full-size (Nikon FX format) mirrorless cameras and APS-C size (Nikon DX format) mirrorless cameras.

■Information communication with the body using electronic contacts

The lens mount is equipped with electronic contacts to enable electrical communication between the lens and the body. The combination of a telecommunications compatible body and the latest firmware*1 provides Exif information, in-body image stabilization (3 axes), and 3 types of focusing support functions (focusing by changing focus point frame color, focusing by peaking) , focusing using the magnification button).

■Manual focus for reliable focus operation

The use of an all-metal helicoid unit that has been machined and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces an appropriate amount of torque provides focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for delicate focus adjustments.

■Beautiful bokeh created by 10 aperture blades

In order to make the hole formed by the aperture blades more circular, a 10-element aperture is used. Out-of-focus areas are rendered naturally, and point light sources are not polygonal, but have a round, soft bokeh.

■Versatile angle of view

The angle of view of 40mm is equivalent to 60mm on an APS-C size camera, so it can be used as a standard lens for both full frame (Nikon FX format) and APS-C size (Nikon DX format).

■*1 Notes on telecommunication compatible bodies

Although this product is equipped with electronic contacts, there are restrictions on the body that can perform electrical communication.
