About This Product

■Features

MACRO APO-ULTRON 35mm F2 X-mount is a large-diameter standard macro lens designed exclusively for Fujifilm X-mount. The lens construction uses the latest optical system that uses 3 pieces of anomalous partial dispersion glass out of 9 elements in 6 groups. In addition to the apochromatic design, which produces natural colors without color bleeding, the lens has an aperture of F2, an unusually large aperture for a macro lens, and yet has a compact style.

■Designed exclusively for Fujifilm X mount

Implements an optical system optimized for the image sensor of Fujifilm X system cameras. Phenomena such as distortion, dimming, and color cast at the periphery of the image are suppressed without relying on the camera's optical correction function.

■Information communication with the body using electronic contacts

Equipped with electronic contacts to achieve highly reliable electrical communication between the lens and the body. The combination of a telecommunications compatible body and the latest firmware enables Exif information, focus check, and shooting distance linked display, as well as in-body image stabilization and parallax correction for certain models.

■Manual focus for reliable focus operation

The use of an all-metal helicoid unit that has been machined and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces an appropriate amount of torque provides focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for delicate focus adjustments.

■Beautiful bokeh created by 10 aperture blades

In order to make the hole formed by the aperture blades more circular, a 10-element aperture is used. Out-of-focus areas are rendered naturally, and point light sources are not polygonal, but have a round, soft bokeh.

■Aperture ring with direct mechanical operation

The aperture mechanism uses a mechanism in which the aperture ring is directly connected to the opening and closing of the aperture blades, similar to Voigtlander's VM mount and mirrorless mount lenses. With 1/3 step clicks, you can enjoy the feeling of directly operating the mechanism.

■Maximum shooting magnification 1:2

The shortest shooting distance is 0.163m. For focus adjustment, a front focus method is used in which the six elements in the front four groups are moved back and forth. While making it possible to shorten the extension time compared to a method that extends the entire optical system, it also ensures high image quality in all areas, from long distances to close-up areas.

■Apochromat design

In order to be compatible with today's high-pixel digital sensors, axial chromatic aberration and lateral chromatic aberration are thoroughly suppressed.
