About This Product

■Features

A large aperture and compact wide-angle lens that has refined the taste of a classic lens using the latest optical technology and brought it back to modern times. By deliberately leaving spherical aberration behind, the lens expands the range of photographic expression through its descriptive power, which shows smooth and beautiful bokeh when the aperture is wide open, and sharp cuts when stopped down.

■Symmetrical lens configuration

The combination of traditional symmetrical lens construction and the latest optical material (ultra-high refractive glass) allows for a large aperture of F1.4 in a compact size.

■Control depiction with aperture value

Reproduces the unique depiction of classic lenses. When the aperture is wide open, the smooth and gentle bokeh creates a three-dimensional effect. If you stop down the aperture, the image will be sharp, allowing you to create a wide variety of expressions with just one lens.

■Two types of lens coatings to choose from

Multi-coating (MC) aims for as neutral color reproduction as possible, while single coating (SC) reproduces classic color tones. A lineup that allows you to choose your favorite lens coating.

■Special bayonet type hood

A special bayonet-type hood is available as an option, which is made of a beautiful, durable metal that reduces vignetting when attached to a rangefinder-type camera.

■Manual focus for reliable focus operation

The all-metal helicoid unit has been machined and adjusted with high precision, and uses high-quality grease that generates the right amount of torque to achieve focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for delicate focus adjustments.

■Focusing lever with excellent operability

The focusing lever has an easy-to-grip shape that supports quick and reliable focusing.

■Bayonet type VM mount

The lens mount uses a VM mount that is compatible with Leica M mount. Not only can it be used with a rangefinder-linked camera, but it also has an excellent design balance when attached to a mirrorless digital camera via a mount adapter.

■Equipped with distance meter interlocking system

The high-precision rangefinder interlocking mechanism allows for precise focusing near the maximum aperture.

■Full-size image circle

It has a generous image circle that is compatible with the full 35mm format. It also has a very compact style compared to interchangeable lenses for single-lens reflex cameras.
