About This Product

■Features

Although it has an ultra-wide angle of view of 110°, this lens has extremely low distortion and provides sharp images all the way to the edges. In order to prevent color cast at the edges of images with digital cameras, we have adopted an optical design that optimizes the angle of light incident on the sensor.

■Super wide lens with 110° angle of view

It produces stunning images with a wide feel, not only in magnificent landscapes, but also in difficult locations.

■Digital compatible optical design

In order to eliminate color cast in the peripheral areas caused by the structure of the image sensor, which is unique to digital cameras, we have adopted an optical design that optimizes the angle of light incident on the sensor. It has excellent contrast and resolution from the widest aperture to every corner of the screen, and even within that, it expresses the same softness, depth, and beauty as the Helia of yesteryear.

■Pan focus shooting

The depth of field is very deep (wide range of focus), for example, if you set the focus ring to the 2m position at F4.5 wide open, the range will be approximately 0.9m to ∞, and if you set the focus ring to the 1m position at F8, it will be approximately 0.5m. The camera focuses up to ∞, so there is almost no need to adjust the focus.

■The shortest shooting distance is 0.5m

When attached to a mirrorless single-lens digital camera using our mount adapter, it is possible to focus down to 0.5m, exceeding the rangefinder's linked minimum shooting distance of 0.7m. You can enjoy high performance on a variety of platforms beyond the rangefinder-linked camera.

■Filter can be installed

A φ58mm filter can be installed without the need for a special adapter. It is possible to take pictures with various filters attached.

■Manual focus for reliable focus operation

The use of an all-metal helicoid unit that has been machined and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces an appropriate amount of torque provides focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for delicate focus adjustments.

■Bayonet type VM mount

The lens mount uses a VM mount that is compatible with Leica M mount. Not only can it be used with a rangefinder-linked camera, but it also has a well-balanced design when attached to a mirrorless digital camera via a mount adapter.

■Equipped with distance meter interlocking system

The high-precision rangefinder linkage mechanism allows for reliable focusing even in deep depth of field.
