About This Product

■Features

The newly designed optical system uses anomalous partial dispersion glass for 5 of the 7 elements in 7 groups. In addition to high image quality thanks to the apochromatic design that brings axial chromatic aberration as close to zero as possible, the simple structure of extending the entire lens achieves a compact design with a total length of approximately 40 mm (from the mount surface). The body weight is lightweight at 260g, and its size and weight are almost the same as the standard lens ULTRON 40mm F2 Aspherical SLⅡs, making it highly portable.

■Apochromat design

It uses an apochromatic design that brings the axial chromatic aberration of RGB, which makes up the three primary colors of light, as close to zero as possible.

■High performance & compact

The newly designed optical system uses anomalous partial dispersion glass for 5 of the 7 elements in 7 groups. Despite its high performance, the lens is compact with a total length of 40mm (from the mount surface).

■Design with nostalgia and functionality

The focus ring and aperture ring are made entirely of metal, and the large finger grip and precision-cut knurling pattern are not only nostalgic and beautiful, but also have functionality that improves the feeling of manual operation. .

■Manual focus for reliable focus operation

The use of an all-metal helicoid unit that has been machined and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces an appropriate amount of torque provides focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for delicate focus adjustments.

■Selectable appearance variations

As a homage to the SLR interchangeable lenses of the 1965s (1965-1974), the silver rim is affectionately known among collectors as Sakijiro, and the black rim is known as Sakiguro. Two types of rims are available.

■Capable of shooting with a wide variety of bodies

The mount is compatible with Nikon Ai-S with a built-in CPU and is also equipped with an Ai coupler. This makes it possible to use a wide variety of bodies, from old film SLRs to the latest digital SLRs.
