About This Product

■Features

The F1.2 class large-diameter standard lens that appeared in the 1960s as a single-lens reflex camera lens that required a long back focus, unlike rangefinder lenses, has been improved using modern technology. The optical system consists of 7 elements in 6 groups, all of which are classical spherical lenses, while achieving both a large aperture of F1.2 and high image quality.

■Expressive power unique to large-diameter lenses

When the aperture is wide open, motifs are emphasized with a large amount of blur, and near f/4 the entire frame exhibits extremely high sharpness, allowing you to fully enjoy using the aperture to create different photographic expressions.

■Design with nostalgia and functionality

The focus ring and aperture ring are made entirely of metal, and the large finger grip and precision-cut knurling pattern are not only nostalgic and beautiful, but also have functionality that improves the feeling of manual operation. .

■Manual focus for reliable focus operation

The use of an all-metal helicoid unit that has been machined and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces an appropriate amount of torque provides focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for delicate focus adjustments.

■Capable of shooting with a wide variety of bodies

The mount is compatible with Nikon Ai-S with a built-in CPU and is also equipped with an Ai coupler. This makes it possible to use a wide variety of bodies, from old film SLRs to the latest digital SLRs.

■Special details

Optical performance was our top priority, and we adopted a lens whose size approaches the inside dimensions of the mount, so we designed new thin contact parts. In addition to this, this lens is packed with attention to detail in manufacturing, such as cutting holes into the side of the metal mount to prevent interference between the aperture link pin and the lens.

■Note: For customers who own Nikon D3400

When using the Voigtlander Ai-S (with built-in CPU) mount on the D3400, you can only shoot in M ​​mode, but the exposure indicator cannot be used. For details, please contact our customer service department.
