About This Product

■Features

Adopts an apochromatic design that brings the axial chromatic aberration of RGB, which makes up the three primary colors of light, as close to zero as possible. 60 years since Cosina was founded, and 20 years since the release of Voigtlander lenses, we have brought together the technologies we have cultivated to pursue the ultimate in performance. It combines the performance of Voigtlander's best-ever standard lens with compactness and ease of handling.

■Compatible with Sony E mount

Equipped with an electronic contact, the usage status of the lens is reflected in the Exif information of the shooting data. Also, since it has a built-in distance encoder, it supports 5-axis image stabilization on the camera body side. It is also possible to enlarge the viewfinder by operating the focus ring.

■Optimized optical design

In addition to ensuring a full-size image circle, it uses an optical design optimized for Sony E-mount sensors. High resolution is maintained right up to the edges of the screen, and phenomena such as color cast are suppressed.

■Apochromat design

In order to be compatible with today's high-pixel digital sensors, axial chromatic aberration and lateral chromatic aberration are thoroughly suppressed.

■12 apertures that allow you to enjoy bokeh expressions

The aperture blades have a special shape that becomes circular not only at open F2 but also at F2.8. It is possible to draw images that take advantage of the "bokeh" of point light sources.

■Manual focus for reliable focusing

The use of an all-metal helicoid unit that has been machined and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces an appropriate amount of torque provides focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for delicate focus adjustments.

■Aperture click switching mechanism

The aperture click switching mechanism allows the aperture ring to be opened and closed steplessly without producing any click noise. This eliminates the need to worry about picking up the operation sound of the aperture ring when recording videos, and also allows for severe depth control by finely adjusting the aperture ring. *APO-LANTHAR is a title given to Voigtlander's particularly high-performance lenses. The APO-LANTHAR was born in 1951, a legendary lens that has captivated the hearts of photographers with its apochromatic design and outstanding imaging performance and beautiful depiction. Its origins can be traced back about 120 years.
