Velocity is the best tunable diode laser system of our company, enabling both a wide range of wavelength scanning and fine wavelength scans. ■ Wide wavelength selection

New Focus Velocity has a wavelength from UV to middle infrared.

■ Right width: Hetero -dubling notebook method

Historically, the line width is measured over two ECDLs with a melee wave length over 50 milliseconds or more using the hetero -dwinding notebook method. This method has a low dependence on the measuring device and has a true snapshot of the spectrum.

■ Line width: Delay self -beat notebook method

The delay self -beat notebook method is another line width measurement method. This technique excludes the spread of the spectrum, but you can get an instantaneous snapshot of the Lorentz spectrum. The New Focus Velocity laser measures 2.5kHz at 4.6 µs measurement. * There are other part numbers.
