About This Product

NEP AWS FIBER WIND Mist Eliminator is mainly used to remove fine particles (liquid, solid) smaller than 1μ contained in gas. This is similar to the mesh pad type mist eliminator, but the fiber diameter is finer and the random mesh structure is higher density. This mist eliminator has the shape of a cylindrical candle filter, and special fibers are densely packed or wrapped between two concentric cylinders. The NEP AWS FIBER WIND mist eliminator has a seat and is installed vertically. The mist trapped in the fiber bed aggregates and moves horizontally due to the passage of gas, gradually concentrating on the bottom of the fiber bed due to gravity, and is either returned to the process line or discarded.

■Removal efficiency

This type of mist eliminator is typically used at a bed flow rate of 1.0 to 1.5 m/sec. The capture efficiency is almost 100% for 3μ or more, and 90-97% for 1-3μ. With this type, the pressure loss is approximately 100-250 mm of water column when the element is completely wet (provided there is no undissolved solid matter attached).

■Material

Baskets for setting elements can usually be made from the following materials: Carbon steel, stainless steel, special alloys, PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), polypropylene, FRP. Materials for filter media fibers include special glass fiber, special polypro fiber, special polyester fiber, special "Tomo-knit" fiber, and special carbon fiber.
