About This Product

NEP AWS FIBER WIND Mist Eliminator is mainly used to remove fine particles (liquid, solid) smaller than 1μ contained in gas. This is similar to the mesh pad type mist eliminator, but the fiber diameter is finer and the random mesh structure is higher density. This mist eliminator has the shape of a cylindrical candle filter, and special fibers are densely packed or wrapped between two concentric cylinders. The NEP AWS FIBER WIND mist eliminator has a seat and is installed vertically. The mist trapped in the fiber bed aggregates and moves horizontally due to the passage of gas, gradually concentrating on the bottom of the fiber bed due to gravity, and is either returned to the process line or discarded.

■Removal efficiency

This type of mist eliminator typically passes through the filter media at a flow rate of 0.10 to 0.15 m/sec, depending on the process. The capture efficiency is almost 100% for particles with a diameter of 3μ or more, and 99.5% for particles smaller than 3μ. The NEP AWS FIBER WIND BM type mist eliminator has no bending characteristics on the graph, and its removal performance can be improved by lowering the filter bed passage speed, especially for particles smaller than 1μ. Pressure loss increases in proportion to the speed of passage through the filter bed. Normally, the element is completely wet (provided there are no undissolved solids attached) and the water column is approximately 50-300 mm.

■Material

Baskets for setting elements can usually be made from the following materials: Carbon steel, stainless steel, special alloys, PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), polypropylene, FRP. Materials for filter media fibers include special glass fibers, special polypro fibers, special polyester fibers, special "Tomo-knit" fibers, and special carbon fibers.
