About This Product

Features

■Covering 0.100 to 1,309.995MHz

Covers 0.100 to 1,309.995MHz (excluding some frequency bands) with FM/WFM/AM. You can enjoy a variety of receptions, from radio broadcasts to airbands and various utility radios.

■BTL circuit & large speaker

The low frequency output circuit is equipped with a BTL amplifier and a large 36φ speaker, achieving a loud volume with an AF output of over 150mW. Comfortable reception is possible even outdoors or in the car.

■Power save function

Equipped with a power save function that reduces current consumption by significantly shortening the time required to detect the presence or absence of a received signal. In addition, when AUTO is selected, the duty ratio will be automatically changed if there is no signal for about 1 minute from the start of power save, reducing battery consumption during standby.

■About 19 hours*2 of reception is possible with alkaline batteries.

The included Ni-MH (nickel metal hydride) battery provides approximately 15 hours*1 of reception time. If you use alkaline batteries, you can receive for a long time of approximately 19 hours*2, which is significantly longer than the approximately 10 hours of the IC-R5 (when using alkaline batteries). *1 AF output 50mW, when connected to an external speaker (8Ω load). *2 Depends on the type of dry battery.

■High-speed scanning of 100ch/sec (in VFO mode)

The variety of scans is also expanded. Moreover, it achieves high-speed scanning of 100ch/sec (in VFO mode), which is significantly higher than the previous model IC-R5 (30ch/sec). You can catch signals faster.
