About This Product

Features

■What is SATELLITE PTT?

Unlike mobile phones, you can instantly send information to multiple people with a single operation. By setting channels etc. in advance between the people you want to talk to, you can quickly share information with any number of people with a single touch.

■One-to-many broadcast communication possible

Unlike satellite phones, you can send audio to multiple parties at the same time by simply pressing the transmit (PTT) button.

■Global wide area communication*

Iridium®'s satellite network, which covers the entire Earth including the North and South Poles, enables wide-area communications across countries. * Depending on the country/region, bringing in or using the product may be prohibited.

■Real-time communication with little audio delay

Iridium® satellites orbit in low orbit at an altitude of approximately 780 km, enabling real-time communications with less audio delay than other communication satellites. The antenna is installed outdoors to enable global wide-area communication even from indoors, inside a car, or underground.

■When installing in a building

By installing the antenna unit on the roof of a building, IC-SAT100M enables satellite communication even from places where satellite signals cannot reach, such as indoors, inside a car, or underground. The antenna unit and the main unit can be connected with a LAN cable, and power is supplied to the antenna unit via the same LAN cable using PoE, making installation easy. *The 100m LAN cable is a commercially available product. (The standard LAN cable included with IC-SAT100M is 20m)

■When installing in a car

Optional AH-40 (external antenna) allows flexible in-vehicle installation. Replace the antenna inside the antenna unit with AH-40 and install AH-40 on the roof of the car (the RF unit is installed inside the car). If you use a commercially available antenna cover, you can install the AH-40 more discreetly.
