About This Product

■New humidity control system that protects electrical control equipment boxes from condensation

This product was developed with consideration for the environment, with the aim of reducing the frequent complaints caused by condensation in electrical control equipment boxes and the negative costs associated with this. Unlike general silica gel, it absorbs and releases moisture, so the humidity control effect lasts for a long time and the burden of maintenance is significantly reduced.

■Structural differences from conventional silica gel

PROTEX-SORB, which has a porous structure with appropriate pores, absorbs moisture when the humidity is high and releases it when the humidity is low, depending on the partial pressure of water vapor in the surrounding area. By repeating this process, it is able to fit inside the closed box. Control humidity. Since absorption and release are repeated throughout the year, it can be used for a long period of time.

■Properties and effects of ProtexSorb

Because it repeatedly absorbs and releases moisture due to its moisture absorption and desorption properties, the humidity inside the box can be controlled at a constant level. Furthermore, unlike the commonly used constant humidity type that is used in high humidity areas, it has the property of being able to reliably demonstrate its effectiveness in medium humidity areas, making ideal humidity control possible.

■How to use

The proper effect of ProtexSorb may not be obtained depending on the airtightness of the box used. Prevent moisture from entering from the outside as much as possible by sealing openings, ventilation holes, and rising wires. We also recommend replacing the gasket if it has deteriorated. Even if the door is opened for 5 to 30 minutes during daily inspections, and outside air temporarily enters, the humidity will return to the original level when the door is closed again. If it is to be left open for a long time on a rainy or humid day, store it temporarily in a plastic bag, etc. When reinstalling, remove it from the bag, install it as specified, and close the door.

■Estimated usage amount

One set of Protex Sorb is 1 sachet x 120 pieces. We will cut the necessary seal part according to the installation location. We recommend using 1~2kg per 1m3. Please use 1kg or more even if the area is 1m3 or less.
