About This Product

■High performance and highly reliable memoryWe currently offer FeRAM (ferroelectric memory) and ReRAM (resistive memory) product families. Both are non-volatile memories, but each has different features and is suitable for different applications. The strength of FeRAM is that it can guarantee a large number of data rewrites. Data can be rewritten up to 100 trillion times, so its capabilities can be demonstrated by using it in applications that frequently rewrite data.

For example, they are used as memory to record information in meters, measuring instruments, industrial robots, and automobiles.

■FeRAM product familyFeRAM products can be broadly divided into two product families. There are "single memories" provided in packaged products such as SOP, and "FeRAM-equipped LSIs" such as RFID LSIs and authentication LSIs equipped with FeRAM. As a standalone memory, FeRAM can replace existing EEPROM, flash memory, and low-power SRAM.

■Overview of FeRAMThe memory capacity of FeRAM products is 4Kbits to 8Mbits. There are serial interfaces (SPI, I2C) and parallel interfaces.

■Characteristics of FeRAMFeRAM, a ferroelectric memory, is a memory with four features: ``non-volatility'', ``high rewriting durability'', ``high-speed writing'', and ``low power consumption''.

■Nonvolatile・Data is not lost even if the power is turned off
 ・Battery free (green product)

■High rewrite resistance・Guaranteed to be rewritten up to 100 trillion times (10^14 times)
・The number of rewrites is up to 100 million times that of EEPROM

■High-speed writing・Data can be overwritten
・No need to issue rewrite command
・No need to wait for erasing or writing

■Low power consumption・No internal boost required for writing
- Low power consumption during writing due to short writing time
・No need for retention current for data retention
