■What is a propulsion device?It is broadly divided into "shaft system equipment" and "propeller". The shaft system device consists of parts such as an intermediate shaft, intermediate bearing, propeller shaft, and stern tube bearing, and transmits the power (rotational force) of the main engine to the propeller, transmits the thrust generated by the propeller to the hull, and propels the ship. It is the most important device for ship propulsion.

A propeller is a device that converts the power (rotational force) generated by the main engine into thrust. It supports multiple blades (usually 4 to 5 blades) and transmits the power (rotational force) from the propeller shaft. It consists of bosses. There are two types of propellers: Fixed Pitch Propeller (FPP) and Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP).

■Side thrusterA side thruster is a propulsion device attached to the bow or stern body of a ship to move the ship laterally, and is used when berthing or leaving the berth. Based on a business alliance with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, we have started manufacturing Hanshin-Kawasaki side thrusters and are selling three models with thrusts ranging from 4.7t to 7.9t.

■Side thruster features- Adopts a variable pitch system, allowing stepless control from zero thrust to maximum thrust by operating the blade angle dial.
・In order to obtain a large turning moment, the thruster tunnel can be shortened and installed closer to the hull end.
-Uses a skewed propeller to prevent left-right imbalance and reduce noise while maintaining high efficiency.
- The thruster body and propeller blades can be removed inside the tunnel, making maintenance and inspection easier.
・If you order the main engine, propeller, and side thruster all at once, you can plan to improve overall efficiency, and especially if you use joystick control, you can maximize the capabilities of each device.
