About This Product

■What is a low-speed 2-cycle engine?

It is an engine in which one cycle (period) of scavenging (intake), compression, combustion, and exhaust is performed in one revolution of the crankshaft, or two strokes (strokes) of the piston.

■Features

As mentioned above, a 2-cycle engine performs the scavenging (intake), compression, combustion, and exhaust cycles with one rotation of the crankshaft, so it is lighter and more compact with the same output than a 4-cycle engine that performs two rotations of the crankshaft. . It uses a crosshead system to achieve a long stroke and low rotation speed, and is designed for low fuel consumption, demonstrating performance in continuous operation in the high output range.

■S30ME-B9・S35ME-B9

Fuel injection is electronically controlled, and exhaust valve opening and closing is performed by a cam, but the closing timing is electronically controlled only in high load ranges. Electronic control optimizes fuel injection in each partial load range, reducing fuel consumption and improving performance during low-load operation. It also achieves low CO2, low NOx, and low PM while achieving low fuel consumption. Equipped with an alpha lubrication system as standard to reduce cylinder oil consumption.
