About This Product
■Product overview
In recent years, construction of large facilities such as government buildings, hospitals, hotels, welfare facilities, intelligent buildings, and shopping centers has been increasing, mainly in the metropolitan area and urban areas. Under these circumstances, there is a growing trend to shorten construction times, and there is a need for piping systems that are superior in terms of on-site piping construction speed, uniformity, and management.
At the same time, modern architecture is now required to be sustainable, which is a highly sustainable architectural concept based on environmental conservation. We believe that stainless steel piping is the type of piping that can achieve this sustainability.
BK Joint II is a mechanical joint for stainless steel piping that is compatible with general piping for building equipment and plants. The common feature of mechanical joints is that they allow for speedy and uniform construction. In addition, the pipe expansion method, which is the joining method, is a standardized construction method that is being worked on to unify construction methods for building equipment. Furthermore, in April 2018, BK Joint II was modified to the conventional model and equipped with a cap nut loosening prevention function.
The main applications are in the water supply, hot water supply, and air conditioning fields, but diversifying needs are increasing the adoption rate for factory piping, where welded pipe fittings and threaded fittings have traditionally been used. Its uses are expanding.
■Structure
A convex expanding section is provided at the end of the pipe, and standard performance is achieved by tightening the fitting body and the cap nut on the pipe side to the specified position.
■Features
Cap nut loosening prevention function
For BK Joint II, the connection is completed by screwing the cap nut attached to the pipe side into the joint body and making a metal touch. The cap nut has a structure that prevents loosening by completely tightening the nut and making metal contact with the main body. However, due to problems such as large vibrations depending on the piping environment, there was a need to improve the loosening control function.
The cap nut of "BK Joint II" has a special "barb" at its tip. If the cap nut does not have a metal touch or if it tries to loosen for some reason, this "barb" will catch on the resin confirmation ring and prevent it from loosening.
