About This Product

Mechanical bonding with Tucker ®​​. Combines self-pierce and punch rivets in one system. The equipment for the joining system integrates three technologies into one modular system: self-pierce riveting with semi-tube rivets, self-piercing riveting with solid punch rivets, and clinch. Our SPR mechanical joining process is used to join two or more layers of materials without the need for pre-drilling. This robust mechanical connection of sheet materials is achieved by inserting rivets and cold forming interlocks with cycle times similar to spot welding. Simply tighten the sheet and push the precision self-piercing rivet through the top layer of material, then reverse the rivet at the bottom layer. This alone creates a strong interlock between the assembled layers. Designed with servo-electric drives to ensure the highest level of process control and reproducibility, these tools can be transported by robots or mounted on trolleys. Additionally, our SPR systems can be configured to control up to three tools with one control unit. The SPR product family offers rivets in a variety of shapes off the shelf, or as custom solutions if special configurations need to be developed.
