About This Product

High torque and high pulling force can be obtained by press-fitting the knurling part using a press method and metal flow. By press-fitting the under-neck knurling part of the KALEI round nut into the base material using an existing pneumatic or hydraulic press, rotation of the nut is prevented, and metal flow into the groove prevents the nut from falling out. Nuts can be attached to thin plates, base materials unsuitable for welding, etc. In addition, the wide surface pressure provides high mounting strength.

■How to press-fit a round nut

①Set the round nut on the base material. ②Use a press to sink the bottom of the round nut into the base material. Note) Please press-fit the bottom part completely. ③Knurls and grooves provide high adhesion.

■Prepared hole condition and press-fit direction

・Generally, a press-formed pilot hole has a sheared part (straight part) and a broken part (skirt part). ・The best direction for press-fitting is from the punch side, but please be careful when using it from the die side due to the design.
