About This Product

The SKF Machine Condition Indicator is an economical model equipped with sensors and indicators for vibration monitoring of general-purpose machinery. It is ideal for machines that operate at constant speeds that have not been monitored until now. Machine condition/ Indicators notify you of abnormalities, similar to a car's check engine light.

・Automatic measurement ・Measurement of vibration velocity, which indicates general machine condition ・Envelope acceleration measurement for early detection of bearing abnormalities ・Temperature measurement to detect heat generation that deviates from normal operating trends ・Two measurement modes for monitoring various machines ・Transient signal avoidance and retry algorithm to avoid false alarms The SKF Machine Condition Indicator is slightly larger than a standard industrial accelerometer. It has a height of 68,3 mm and a diameter of 33,7 mm including the outer diameter of the stainless steel base. The main case is made of durable polymer. In addition, the internal structure can be viewed by removing the board etc. It is fully sealed to protect against environmental influences and has an IP 69K protection rating. (IP 69K – Tested by spraying hot water at 80 °C from 80 to 100 bar from all directions for several minutes). The top of the unit is equipped with three LEDs that indicate the status of the machine and bearings. The stainless steel base has a 1/4-28 tapped hole on the bottom for bolting to the machine. Like the check engine light in a car, the SKF Machine Condition Indicator indicates the condition of industrial machinery. When the Machine Condition Indicator lights up, it is also a signal to call in a predictive maintenance engineer to conduct a diagnostic to determine the cause. Internal sensors measure vibration velocity, envelope acceleration (impact vibration detection of bearings and gears), and also measure machine surface temperature.
