About This Product

■Portable grease analysis kit that can be used on site

Lubricating oil analysis is essential for predictive maintenance. But until now, it has mostly been about oil, despite the fact that around 80% of bearings are lubricated with grease. Thanks to our knowledge of tribology and many years of research, SKF has been able to develop the perfect method to assess the condition of grease directly in the field. The SKF Grease Test Kit TKGT1 is designed to properly utilize this method. Using this kit, you can perform three tests: consistency test (patent pending), oil separation test, and foreign matter test. This allows the user to better understand the grease condition and make on-site decisions. SKFTKGT1 comes with guidelines for correctly understanding the test results. SKFTKGT1 is useful for calculating the remaining life of unused grease and assessing the consistency of quality levels between different manufacturing batches. Users can also use the test results for used grease to evaluate the compatibility of the grease with their application, the accuracy of lubrication intervals, and to identify sources of foreign material ingress.
