About This Product

Pinholes are optical components needed in applications such as spatial filters, analysis techniques, imaging systems, and laser equipment. It has an approximately new circular hole shape and is an essential product for designing and manufacturing precision optical systems. Unlike conventional laser drills, the pinholes are processed using a special etching method, so they have a high degree of roundness and the edges of the holes are extremely smooth. Additionally, the high strength of the board makes it easy to handle. A counterbore with a depth of 3 μm is provided on the surface of the board, and the edge of the pinhole has a structure with the same curvature as the thickness. This effectively reduces the thickness of the pinhole to almost zero, and the same effect can be obtained no matter which side of the substrate the light is incident on. Because pinhole substrates are extremely thin, they are extremely susceptible to external pressure, and can easily become unusable due to bending or distortion. To make handling easier, we also offer products housed in 16mm diameter aluminum mounts as standard.
