・The cellular structure of hardened concrete is greatly related to the durability of concrete, and in particular, the air content and cell spacing coefficient obtained by bubble measurement are indicators of resistance to freezing and thawing.
-Measurement methods include the "linear traverse method" and "modified point count method" specified by ASTM, but both require a great deal of time and effort, and there are individual differences among the measurers.
- Therefore, a method of analysis using image processing on a PC was developed, but a method for distinguishing between air bubbles in hardened concrete and cement paste had not been established.
- To solve these problems, Marui has developed a unique bubble structure measuring device.
・After filling the bubbles in a concrete sample with cyanoacrylate containing fluorescent dye, the sample is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to make only the cell structure emit light, and at the same time, the luminance is binarized using a certain threshold. This made image processing possible.
- Easy to operate and handle, making it easier and faster to measure cell structures than ever before.
