DONGHUA standard roller chains comply with ANSI standards and have excellent wear and fatigue resistance, making them useful for all kinds of needs.

A roller chain has a structure in which outer links and inner links are connected alternately.The outer links are connected by press-fitting two outer plates and two pins, and the inner links are connected by two inner plates and two bushes. are connected by press-fitting them in the same way as pins. Each bushing has a roller on the outside that can rotate freely around the bushing.

Lubrication of each part is extremely important for the performance and lifespan of a roller chain. Please select and use the correct lubrication type for the usage environment.

■Points for selectionSelecting a sprocket considering the characteristics of the chain

■Selection of sprocket with small number of teeth・First, select the minimum chain pitch (multi-row chain if the required power is large). The number of sprocket teeth is selected taking into account the requirements for quiet drive operation and a space-saving chain drive. The larger the number of teeth, the quieter and smoother the transmission.
- Considering chain life, we recommend selecting a small sprocket with a tooth count of 13T or more. For low-speed transmission with light loads, sprockets with 9T teeth can also be used.
・Please use the recommended sprocket rotation speed with a reduction ratio of 7:1. Maximum speed ratio is 10:1. When selecting a product, consider strength, vibration, etc. when designing.

■Outer diameter of sprocket and maximum shaft・Please check whether the shaft outer diameter determined from the required power and other conditions can be accommodated by the sprocket you want to select. Our sprocket catalog indicates the maximum shaft hole diameter, so please check that the shaft outside diameter is satisfactory.
・In addition to the standard stock sprocket, we will prepare a sprocket with the largest outer diameter of the boss. Please refer to the maximum boss outer diameter table and consider the strength of the key and sprocket when designing.

■Selection of sprocket with large number of teeth- After determining the sprocket with the small number of teeth, select the large sprocket with the number of teeth according to the reduction ratio.
・The number of teeth on the large sprocket is the value obtained by multiplying the small sprocket by the speed ratio.
- The maximum number of teeth should be 120T. If 120T or more is required, we recommend designing a two-stage reduction.
