About This Product

■Summary

Rod anode X-ray generators play an important role in non-destructive testing in many industrial fields. Its small focal point provides high-resolution results and provides solutions for a variety of special applications, including tank and pipeline construction, the foundry industry, aircraft engines, and heat exchangers.

■Main features

When imaging parts that are covered with a closed wall all around the circumference, such as aircraft engines, hollow tanks, or circumferential weld lines of pipes, a normal microfocus X-ray generator cannot capture parts other than the part to be inspected. This makes imaging difficult and causes inconveniences such as a significant increase in exposure time. For such applications, internal irradiation is possible by using an X-ray generator that can insert the X-ray irradiation part inside the component, which greatly reduces absorbed X-rays and enables efficient imaging. It is possible to do so. In addition, by using such an X-ray generator, the X-ray focus can be brought closer to the area being inspected, making it possible to image at high magnification.

■Various beam radiation shapes can be selected

Depending on the customer's application, rod anode type tubes can be selected from a variety of beam radiation shapes.

■Back reflection type

・TypeP3 (180°) ・The back-reflection type target has a semicircular beam radiation shape, and the aperture angle ranges from 60° to 120°. Used to inspect welds on tube plate surfaces of heat exchangers.

■Panorama type

Panoramic targets emit a beam from the entire circumference of the rod (360°), and there are two types of aperture angles: ・TypeP1 (70°~110°) ・TypeP2 (60°~90°) It is used for inspecting pipe welds and aircraft engine parts.
