About This Product

■Non-contact ultrasonic transducer for optimal solutionsTraditionally, users have relied on high-voltage, frequency-dependent transducers that are susceptible to electrical noise and require special protective cables for connection, and weak low-power transducers that perform well in hazardous areas but perform poorly outside of simple applications. The only option was a type transducer. The dB Ultrasonic Transducer changes all that, delivering a compact, low-power transducer design. Intrinsically safe certified (ATEX, IECEx), it uses standard connection cables while producing very high acoustic power for excellent results in a variety of applications.

■Features and benefitsCombine a dB ultrasound transducer with one of Pulsar Measurement's Ultra, FlowCERT, Zenith, Quantum, or Blackbox control units to create the perfect solution for your application. All transducers are flammable atmosphere certified (ATEX, IECEx) as standard. The standard transducer body is made of Valox 357 PBT with a special foam emitting surface. For corrosion applications, we also have a type with both the body and front sealed with PVDF.

■Foam faceFoam surface options are available on all standard range transducers to provide more acoustic power output in dry and dusty environments. This higher acoustic power output improves return efficiency in these dry applications.
Coal strength increases.

■Submerged shieldIn applications where there is a risk of submersion, a shield can be installed to keep the transducer surface clean and dry. In case of submersion, the controller may be required to hold the highest, lowest, or last measured value (failure
Ile mode). Once the water level returns below the shield, the controller can resume operation with a clean transducer surface. The shield can be attached to standard transducers of dB3, dB6, dB10, dB15, and dB25.
