About This Product

Inaccurate wind measurement results can have a major impact on your project. The recently updated IEC61400.12.1 (2017) requires evaluation of the uncertainty of wind direction measurement, but by using Geovane, you can solve this problem. Geovane, a solar compass, supports the acquisition of the most accurate wind direction data, which is essential for scrutinizing wind conditions.

Genovane's design is patented and includes a high-resolution photoelectronic sensor combining 1,024 light-sensing pixels. This allows Geovane to use sunlight to measure the true north offset of the sensor mounted above it. It also obtains the true north wind direction offset value by comparing the theoretical solar azimuth angle calculated by the embedded processing device with the azimuth angle value measured by the built-in light-sensing pixels.
