About This Product

■Summary

An infrared emitter, or IR emitter, is a source of light energy in the infrared spectrum. A light emitting diode (LED) used to transmit infrared signals from a remote control. In general, the more emitters and the better their performance, the stronger and wider the resulting signal will be. Remote controls with powerful emitters can often be used without pointing directly at the desired device. Infrared emitters are also partly responsible for limiting the frequency range that can be controlled. IR emitters generate infrared radiation that transmits information and commands between devices. Typically, one device receives the signal and passes the infrared (IR) signal to another device through an emitter. Luckylight offers a number of the most common types categorized by wavelength, half-intensity angle, intensity, package type, and forward (drive) current. The most common sizes of wavelength are 875nm, 850nm, and 940nm. A. Infrared LED with a wavelength of 940nm: Suitable for remote controllers such as home appliance remote controls. B. 850nm: Suitable for video cameras, applied in digital photography, surveillance systems, doorbells, anti-theft alarms, etc. C. 870nm: Suitable for IrDA compatible data transmission, IR lighting for CCTV, compact light barriers, photointerrupters, optical switches, shaft encoders, etc.
