About This Product
The main unit is equipped with a reagent dispenser as standard, allowing anyone to measure mercury easily and efficiently. Control and data processing functions are also included as standard, and control and data processing can be performed using Windows® software. In addition, it is possible to determine the end time of the reduction vaporization reaction and shorten the measurement time.
■Principle
Mercury exists in various forms in analytical samples. Therefore, an appropriate amount of sample is weighed and the organic matter in the sample is decomposed using an acid such as sulfuric acid or nitric acid. The operations up to this point are called preprocessing, and measurements are performed next. The form of mercury in the decomposition solution obtained during pretreatment is Hg2+, and a reducing agent is added to this solution and aerated to generate atomic mercury Hg0.
Hg0 is carried by a carrier gas (room air from which mercury has been removed) to an absorption cell, where it absorbs the wavelength of mercury (253.7nm). After wet decomposition, mercury is atomized using a reduction reaction and measured as total mercury using reductive vaporization-cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry.
■Features
・Easily perform measurements using the reduction vaporization method that complies with the official method.
- Equipped with a reagent dispenser as standard, so no pipette is required, making work easier.
・Since it has a built-in data processing device, measurement results can be obtained with simple operations.
- Measurement results can be saved to a USB memory and read on a computer without special software.
・In addition to built-in data processing, MD-Win, a PC-based mercury measurement control software, is available to further improve operability.
■Applications
Environment (water and sewage, river water, lake water, seawater, sediment, wastewater, soil acid elution solution, etc.), organisms, living organisms (blood, urine, hair, etc.), samples, industrial products (RoHS-related substances, etc.), fluorescent lights, etc. Measurement of mercury concentration in waste samples, etc.
