■Principle
A worm gear is a type of staggered gear and is composed of a worm and a worm wheel. The worm has a screw shape, and the worm wheels are a pair of gears created by a tool with tooth profiles of the same shape.
Its operation can be compared to a screw and a nut. That is, this is the same principle as when a nut, which is restrained from rotating, moves in the axial direction of the screw by rotating the screw.
