About This Product

■Highly durable material that can be used underwater

Manilkara (also known as Amazon Jara masaranduba) is a broad-leaved tree of the Acateaceae family that is native to Brazil in South America, and is a large tree that grows to a height of 30 to 40 meters and a diameter of about 1 meter. It is a highly durable, ultra-hard wood that has been used locally as a harbor material for floating piers and heavy structures. It has been used for a long time not only in South America but also in various parts of Europe as the best wood with a durability of over 30 years. Additionally, Manilkara (Amazon jara) is resistant to insect damage such as rotting fungi and termites, and is particularly resistant to carnivorous insects, making it a wood that can be used underwater.

■Beautiful colors with little color unevenness

Manilkara, as you can see from its other name, Amazon Jarrah, is a very beautiful wood that is very similar to the Australian jarrah, which was once synonymous with high-quality wood decking materials. The surface of the reddish, light brown wood is very smooth to the touch, and the wood has little color unevenness. However, the color fades relatively quickly due to sun exposure, and the color fades and changes to a calm silver-gray color. In addition, the surface tends to crack as it ages due to rain and UV rays, so please avoid using it barefoot. (We recommend using footwear with all decking materials.) In addition, Manilkara (Amazon Jarrah) does not ooze out the red sap seen in Urin, and its uses are not limited. It is ideal not only for various commercial facilities and public properties, but also as a wood deck and fence material for general households.

Manilkara (Amazon Jara) is available in a stable supply for a long time to come based on a long-term logging plan based on the abundant wood resources of the Amazon in South America.
