About This Product

AXAFLEX couplings are flywheel couplings with high flexibility and easy shaft plug-in. Enables a flexible connection against torsion between the internal combustion engine and the driven machine. The flexible torque transmission function of AXAFLEX is performed by a disc-shaped rubber element. This rubber element absorbs axial torsion, and can also absorb torsional vibration and misalignment over a wide range. You can choose from three types of rubber materials for the elements in order to achieve optimal performance under the conditions required by a variety of applications. ・Standard product - Mixture of natural rubber and synthetic rubber - NR/SBR...Suitable for environmental temperatures up to 80℃ ・Standard product - Mixture of natural rubber and synthetic rubber - NR/SBR...Suitable for environmental temperatures up to 100℃ ・Optional product - Mixture of silicone and natural rubber - VMQ...Suitable for environmental temperatures up to 130℃ The inner diameter surface of the rubber element is vulcanized to the hub and jointed with a tapered bush or bolted hub. The splines around the element's outer circumference have almost no backlash and can be attached to the coupling flange with high precision. The AXAFLEX flywheel coupling supports a torque range of .200-110,000Nm (approximately 6,500kw, 1,000rpm). Depending on the strength of torsional vibration, the shore hardness of the rubber element can be selected from four types. Coupling flange dimensions comply with SAEJ620 and DIN6281. Other flange specifications can be manufactured upon request.
