About This Product

■Summary

High performance, easy operation, robust design, and reliability. This handheld thickness gage is compatible with most ultrasonic wall thickness inspection applications and can be used with all dual element and single element transducers. The 38DL PLUS can be used in a wide range of applications, from measuring thinning in internally corroded pipes with a dual element transducer to accurately measuring the thickness of thin or multilayer materials with a single element transducer. The 38DL PLUS comes standard with many high-performance, easy-to-use measurement functions, and offers many software options for special applications. The housing has an airtight design that meets the IP67 waterproof and dustproof performance standard, and is resistant to harsh environments such as liquids and dust. In addition, the transflective LCD VGA color display allows you to read the data clearly both indoors and outdoors. The simple keypad design makes it easy to operate the keys with either your left or right hand, giving you easy access to all functions.

- Compatible with dual element probes and single element probes ・Wide thickness measurement range: 0.08 mm to 635 mm (depending on material and probe type) ・Corrosion thickness measurement using a dual-element probe ・THRU-COAT technology and echo-to-echo measurement for painted and coated materials ・Internal oxidation/scale software option ・Measurement possible with standard resolution of 0.01 mm for all probes ・Measurement possible with a high resolution of 0.001 mm using a single element probe (2.25 MHz to 30 MHz) (software option) ・Multi-layer material software option that can measure the thickness of up to 4 layers simultaneously High penetration software option for thickness measurement of damping materials such as fiberglass, rubber, and thick castings ・Thickness, material sound velocity, and propagation time can be measured ・Differential mode and reduction rate mode - Time-based B-scan mode: 10,000 thickness measurements per scan ・Dynamic gain technology with digital filter ・V-Path Builder improves measurement accuracy with dual element probes ・Compliant with EN15317 (ultrasonic thickness gage performance standard)
