■Basic principleThe PA-micro is equipped with the same wide-range polarization image sensor, variable wavelength filter, and calculation algorithm as the WPA-100, and can instantly acquire large phase differences exceeding 1,000 nm as a surface distribution in a microscopic field of view. Wide-range polarized image sensors not only have a wide measurement range but also a wide operating wavelength range.

WPA-100 and WPA-micro enable multi-wavelength measurement by combining a wide range polarization image sensor and a variable wavelength filter. By comparing the results of measurements at multiple wavelengths using a rigorous optical calculation algorithm, it is now possible to measure even larger phase differences. The operation of WPA-micro is as simple as WPA-100. First, photograph the light source without placing the object to be measured. All you have to do is place the sample on it and click the measurement button to measure the birefringence distribution over the entire surface of the sample one after another.

■Software・The included WPA -View is a dedicated software that allows you to easily perform a series of operations such as operating the WPA-100 and analyzing and saving the huge amount of data acquired.
・Easy operation with button clicks - Keeping the same operability as the popular PA-100, you can measure the surface distribution of phase difference one after another by simply placing the sample on the stage and pressing the measurement button.
・Various data display functions Various display functions for birefringence/phase difference distribution are available. In addition, various functions such as phase difference information display at any position, vector display of phase difference, quantitative analysis on any line, 3D display with height of phase difference, histogram of any area, and area display above any threshold are available. Data analysis is possible
