■Features

■Basic principle

・When light passes through a transparent material with birefringence, its polarization state changes (photoelastic effect). Conversely, birefringence can be evaluated by comparing the polarization state before and after passing through an object. ・Polarization image sensor incorporating Photonic Lattice's unique photonic crystal filter captures polarization information that is invisible to the eye as an image. In combination with dedicated calculation and image processing software, birefringence distribution can be converted into quantitative data and visualized.

■Software

- The included PA-View is a dedicated software created to easily perform a series of operations such as operating the PA-110 and analyzing and saving acquired data. Here we will introduce the main functions of PA-View. ・Easy operation by clicking a button - You can start measuring immediately without complicated initial settings. Additionally, you can measure multiple samples one after another by simply placing the sample on the stage and pressing the measurement button. ・Various data display functions Various data analysis is possible, such as line display of birefringence axis direction, histogram of any area, quantitative analysis on any line, and area display above any threshold. ・It is equipped with functions that strongly support analysis, such as a data album function that allows you to compare multiple shooting data on the same screen, a length measurement function that allows you to check the actual dimensions on the screen, and a function that saves data in text format. .
